Whoa, this one’s actually good.

Been using this free Chrome extension called Gandalf for a few weeks now – thought it was just another SEO toy, but it turned out pretty useful.

It works with Google Search Console and gives you quick visualisations + filters that honestly save time.

Not a replacement for BigQuery or Looker dashboards (which I still use when I need deeper data), but for fast checks, keyword audits, or even Google Ads cross-checks – this is solid.

If you’re into SEO research or reporting, here’s where it can help:
✅ Want to find keywords stuck on page 2 with good impressions?
Filter by position + impressions in seconds.

✅ Suspect keyword cannibalisation?
It helps group similar queries under one view – makes overlaps easier to spot.

✅ Doing content audits?
Filter by low CTR + high impressions to quickly find pages worth updating.

✅ Managing Google Ads?
Cross-check paid keywords with organic ranking – spot wasted spend.

✅ Planning new content?
The grouped keyword view shows gaps and opportunities fast.

What I like:
1. Super quick filters
2. Keyword categorisation (not perfect, but helpful)
3. Visuals that make patterns obvious – no sheet exports needed

I’ve used it across a few projects now. Once I saw how it fits into daily work, I figured it’s worth sharing.

Now, it’s not a replacement for BigQuery or custom dashboards.

But for daily research, content planning, or quick client insights - it’s honestly been helpful.

I keep testing tools like this regularly. Some are hype, some are gold.

Anyway - sharing this here in case it helps someone else too.

Tried it? Got better GSC hacks? Comments are open.
