What stood out to me in Taylor Scher’s B2B SaaS SEO Playbook wasn’t just the ideas, it was how grounded and execution-focused they were when building this great blog post.

It’s not trying to predict the future of search with sweeping generalizations. It just shows how to do the fundamentals better, smarter, and with real business goals in mind.

A few things that stuck with me:

1. “Pain Point SEO” is a mindset shift worth adopting

Instead of chasing top-of-funnel traffic, it focuses on the searches people make when they’re feeling a problem deeply. These are often lower volume, but way higher intent and way closer to revenue.

2. Metrics that map to pipeline

It’s easy to get stuck optimizing for rankings and impressions. Taylor makes a compelling case for moving toward metrics like demo requests, sales conversations, and ARR. These are the numbers that actually matter to the business and that SEO can absolutely influence.

3. Search is fragmenting

Google’s still central, but buyers are now discovering brands on YouTube, Reddit, even ChatGPT. Taylor doesn’t overcomplicate this, he just reminds us to think like marketers, not just SEOs. Be present where your audience searches.

What I liked most is that none of this relies on chasing trends. It’s just solid strategy, well explained, with a strong POV.

Again: a good reading I recommend.
