“What GTM plays work best?” ← I get this question ALL. THE. TIME.

So, I jotted down 100 plays and turned it into a handy resource.

That entire resource is uploaded to this post (no strings attached). No need to comment, fill out a lead form, tag a friend, or any of that jazz to get it. All I ask is that if you find it useful, spread the word :)

Of the 100, here are 🔟 of my favorites:

1/ Rapid rise and fall of product usage

Why it’s a fav? Learned this during my time at Retool—a spike in product usage is often associated with a stress test and correlated with an enterprise testing the product for scale.

2/ Web visits to ToS and security pages

Why it’s a fav? People always default to the pricing page visit for high intent. But I’ve found that these pages are more indicative of high intent as security and finance teams are checking boxes for an eval.

3/ Send a LinkedIn DM after signup

Why it’s a fav? It’s just super simple and gets a really high reply rate. I send something like “Thanks for signing up! Here if you need anything.”

4/ Job change from a fmr product user

Why it’s a fav? Prime example of a signal stack (job change + product usage) that is also a really high converting play.

5/ Activity from a high fit account in an alternative GitHub repo

Why a fav? This one’s specific to commercial open source and dev tool companies. If that’s you, it’s a no brainer for turning OSS activity into pipeline.

6/ LinkedIn followers of execs

Why it’s a fav? Another simple one but when someone follows or connects with a thought leader or an exec on your team (or thought leaders in your space) it’s a solid signal of intent.

7/ Open role that mentions a specific skill

Why it’s a fav? If there’s an open role that includes a relevant skill (e.g., familiar with Claude), it’s a sign that there’s a gap that your product can potentially fill.

8/ Automated outbound triggered by web visit from ICP account

Why it’s a fav? I just think this is a cool way to automate. We run this at Common Room where we will auto-prospect five contacts in our ICP based on the page visited and send an automated email—no human required.

9/ Multithread from Gong call

Why it’s a fav? Good one for expansion plays or going above the line from a discovery call with someone who’s not an economic buyer.

10/ Gmail enrichment from product signup

Why it’s a fav? If you have a self serve product, there’s a high chance you get a lot of signups using a personal email. I’ve found about 30% of those are from ideal personas if you can enrich them.

🔌 What’s common about all the plays above (and all of the 100 plays in the resource)? They’re all easy to setup and run using Common Room.
