We've all seen Forbes 30U30 lists release plenty of times. This time, a little too many folks on it were people I knew already and it had an aftermath on me.

When I was new to this industry, I would often wonder: What does it really take to make it onto that list? Is it just about age? Or is there more to it?

Yes, there are lists beyond Under30 as well, but something about it never sat too well in my head. I questioned how I’d feel if I ever made it. Would it be enough? What would that recognition mean for my career and personal growth? How would it help/change/impact what I would already be doing?

I'm not an IIT graduate, nor do I fit neatly into any traditional checklist. (Not that it should matter, right?) I'm confident in my abilities and have been learning and growing alongside incredibly talented folks. But if I don't believe in conventional checklists, why does this thought linger? Why is there an aftermath?

I remember reading a post by Shan Hanif: "Don't compare your Chapter 2 with someone else's Chapter 12." That resonated with me. It made me realize that validation does come in very different forms to each of us.

Well, the answer did shape itself: I've learned that it is only now that I'm truly surrounded by people who genuinely put in the work, don't complain, stay focused on their goals, remain humble, and uplift others. And experiencing this from up close has been incredibly inspiring and moving which is why the greater impact. Now, I see something so up close, can't help but run my brain over the details.

*The voices in my head silence.*

The last two years have been pivotal in my journey. I've learned to trust the choices I've made and have truly uplifted me over some checklist the entrepreneurship world has in store for everyone that is willing to comply.

I'm incredibly proud of all the folks on this year’s list- Sunny Garg, Ayush Wadhwa, Ayush Pateria, Keshav Chouksey, Rahul Varma, Aayush Anand, Harshit Jain, Abhik S. and many more. What an amazing 'journey' to witness and be inspired by. Seeing their hustle and dedication has helped me reflect on my own goals in the best most healthy way I think was possible yayy :)

One from the list is in the photo. From from when I met Aditya Agrawal over dinner. So humble, driven and always watching out for folks in the best ways as a friend. How amazing is that?

Many more will shine through their journeys, list or no list.
Keep your head down, hustle hard, stay patient, and let time work its magic. ✨
