Was thinking of heading to Kodaikanal over the next few days, and ended up trying the same search on RouteChef.
Honestly, felt pretty content.
Seeing trains, flights, and multimodal routes all in one place - side by side - without jumping across 4–5 different apps… this is exactly the problem I wanted to solve when starting out.
Also realized something we’ve all faced - ever searched flights and noticed how your preferred departure time suddenly makes everything way more expensive?
Everyone has different preferences:
• When they want to depart
• When they want to arrive
• Whether they’re okay with stopovers
• And of course, budget
Looking at all modes together makes this so much simpler - you can actually pick a route that fits your exact travel needs, instead of compromising on either time or cost. Multimodal routes further gives you more options which would create a strong differentiation for OTAs in times to come.
Still a long way to go, but moments like this make it worth it.
