Smart kid, for the most part.
He was trying to negotiate it as he had a competing offer in hand - one he had shopped around for but there its a free market :) it was marginally better.
If I feel like we've been fair and then some, I don't bite the bait. So i tried to convince on merit of the opportunity - meaty role, work direct with founders, lots of growth, earlier person did X Y Z etc.
He then said 'Yeah yeah but the math ain't mathing.'
I cut the call, thanked God he didn't accept and wished his future employers the very best 😂
On a serious note, I've begun to realise how much shopping people are doing with BSC offers. Its extremely flattering and annoying at the same time. 🥵
