Unusual advice on How to be ultra productive:

(I run 20 startups simultaneously)

1. Develop great memory, to ditch docs and notes. It’s 100x faster to put & pull information from your memory than from a computer.

2. Switch tasks and contexts efficiently. Instead of watching a "typing indicator" during chats, I move to another task and return later. Like a CPU cycling through commands, I touch multiple tasks each cycle, ensuring there's no idle time.

3. For tasks lasting an hour, apply the 5/70 rule: 5% effort for 70% results. Reuse these shortcuts. For example, I skim emails by reading only the first and last sentence, and no one seems to notice.

4. Use software and AI as leverage. Initially, adopting them can be time-consuming, but once set up, you'll benefit repeatedly. Adopt once, reuse forever.

5. Keep adopting new tools as you go. I recently adopted voice-to-text app on Mac. Now I can reply to the comments on social media with my voice and it’s 5-10x more efficient. Also I get less tired.

6. Avoid difficult/time-consuming tasks. In 95% cases you can look for simpler alternatives. For example do online calls instead of a physical meeting, cuz it’s 1h va entire day.

7. Act only when necessary and urgent. Otherwise, you risk making wrong assumptions and wasting time on unimportant tasks.

8. do things faster: read, write, and move quickly. get used to hurrying—you can do tasks 2-10x faster. practice to increase your speed, just like walking 3km/h vs. 6km/h.

9. Don’t let yourself take breaks between tasks. Switch between tasks instantly, as if you’re working on an assembly line and it can’t wait.

10. Put all your meetings and calls into one day, because they drain the focus and it’s difficult to be productive in a day when you have them. I do all my calls on Tuesdays.

11. Use two monitors, so that you can switch tasks faster and also it simplifies any tasks around data, when you need to research on one screen and edit on another.

12. Work in a closed room with no other people. So that you don’t get distracted by small talks and chats. Avoid coworking or open offices.

13. The ratio of action vs consumption should be 90/10. 90% of the day you do things and 10% you read, watch, scroll. Every other day, do 100% action. Zero read/watch/scroll.

14. Avoid working in teams. Because they force you to create documents, meetings, calls, discussions. 99% of the tasks should done from start to finish by one person. Even if u delegate, only delegate one project per person.

15. Always get things done before the day ends. Don’t drag any tasks across several days. work til the night if task isn’t finished. You wanna start every day with new tasks, not with unfinished tasks from yesterday.

16. Don’t be perfectionist, cut all corners.
Only apply perfectionism for 1% of your tasks: social media posts, onboarding and wow effect in your app, the strategic decisions(domain name, slogan).
