But IRCTC is on the second place now. It is beaten by non other than - District by Zomato.
I have been trying to book few tickets for IPL final at Ahmedabd since last 4-5 days and everytime it use to put me in a long waiting queue where thousands of people were ahead of me. I had made up my mind that I won't get the tickets.
But today around 12:45PM, I casually opened the District app and found tickets were available for sale. Also guess what, I was just number 3 in the queue with tickets were showing available in around 10-11 stands. I felt lucky this time and continued waiting for my turn.
Considering the fact that one person can book maximum 4 seats and tickets were showing available in 10-11 stands, I was damn sure to get tickets this time. Even if every available stand had only 1 seat left (worst case scenario), I would have still got atleast couple of tickets as I was number 3 in the queue and 2 folks ahead of me could have booked max 8 seats.
But after 10 mins of waiting, I noticed only 6 stands are showing available seats now and rest were marked sold out. And I was still the number 3 in the queue. I found this odd and started taking screenshots at regular intervals. And too my surprise, slowly slowly all the stands were marked sold out and I remained number 3 in the queue for almost 45 mins.
Please notice the time in these screenshots. I am just wondering how other people are able to book tickets from such useless apps. Nothing against District, I had similar experience with BookMyShow as well in past, but did not take any screenshots that time.
District , Zomato, Deepinder Goyal, I hope this IPL ticket booking is not a SCAM !! I have onbserved this in other matches too, stands show up as sold out in your application but we see large number of empty seats when watching on TV.
