I know it sounds a little weird, but hear me out. 👇
Whenever you attend a startup event,
People remember your energy… not the business card you are sharing.
Most folks focus too much on the panels, booths, keynote lineups.
But the best convos?
They happen during that unexpected walk to a nearby café.
Or at the after-party, where everyone’s finally just being real, not pitching, not performing.
That’s when you see the real person.
Not the “startup founder,” not the “LinkedIn profile,”
But the actual person behind all that.
You don’t network there.
You Talk. Chill. Connect.
And some of the strongest relationships I’ve built didn’t happen during the event.
They happened outside over cold coffee, shared cabs, random walks back to the hotel.
We chase networking at the wrong time.
And sometimes, all it takes is just staying back 30 extra minutes.
Glad I didn’t rush to my room this time.
Now excited for many more to come 🍻
P.S. — Mention someone you have vibed and networked at an after party and share your story. 😄
