Meet Maor Shlomo who came back from his duty in Jan & built a prompt-driven app builder called Base44 that quietly redefined what “no-code” could mean in the age of foundation models.
It didn’t just scaffold a UI.
It generated full-stack apps end-to-end from a single user prompt:
Authentication, backend infra, storage, analytics, deployment. All of it – live, working, and ready to ship.
He pushed to production nearly 13 times a day, integrating Anthropic’s Claude for code generation and orchestration.
By June, it had:
→ 250,000 users
→ $189,000 in monthly profit
→ Organic traction from partners like eToro and Similarweb
→ And a clean, $80 million all-cash acquisition by Wix.
He owned 100% of it and after the deal, handed out
$25M in retention bonuses to his eight-person team.
This is what the early innings of AI wealth creation looks like.
Now, I run Analytics Vidhya, and stories like this force me to pause.
Because everyone’s asking what AI will disrupt but Maor didn’t “disrupt” anything.
He just built the obvious thing before the rest of us caught up.
That’s what this AI wave is doing: Compressing what took teams, funding, and 18 months… into 6 focused, quiet ones.
You can either wait for a roadmap or write one :)
