"Stop saying sorry and thank you to AI."
Sam Altman claimed that being polite to AI is costing the company tens of millions of dollars in electricity.

This got me thinking.

We're in a fascinating moment in tech history. Generative AI, like ChatGPT, is barely out of its digital crib, and yet, it’s already reshaping how we work, think, and create.

But no one really knows how to use it right. Not yet. There’s no universal guide. No "AI etiquette" manual. No one taught us the best prompts to write or how to ask a question without breaking a server (or hurting the environment).

So, we’re all kind of… winging it.

Trial and error. Curiosity. Late-night prompts. Sometimes we get it right. Sometimes we end up apologizing to a chatbot.

What would helps users is for creators, leaders, and builders of these tools to guide us better.

- What does optimal use look like?
- How can we be resource-conscious while staying creative?
- What’s the best way to collaborate with AI without over-relying on it?

These are questions worth answering. Thoughtful, user-friendly education is important. but this education needs to happen from the creators of these tools.

I’d personally love to see a simple, accessible "How to Use ChatGPT Responsibly" manual by OpenAI.

What do you think?
