I set this up for a client and it secured 10-20 authority links in a month.
Here's the full playbook (it's stupid simple):
First, find link prospects with Ahrefs Link Intersect (should take 10 mins max):
- Add up to 10 competitors
- Filter for domains linking to at least 2 competitors
- Sort by DR (higher = more link juice)
- Export to Google Sheets
- Keep only domains with DR 25+
Get their contact info:
- Check the site's contact page
- Use Hunter(.)io Chrome extension (free for 25 searches/month)
- Add first name, last name, and email to your sheet
Always try to find a specific person rather than using generic "contact@" emails.
Now for the AI-powered personalized outreach.
Use Make(.)com to connect Google Sheets with ChatGPT.
In your Make(.)com scenario:
- Pull data from your Google Sheet
- Connect to OpenAI API
- Use the prompt below which includes the variables [domain], [first name] and [last name]
- Have it save the ChatGPT responses in your Google Sheet.
Copy this exact prompt to the Message field:
"Please write a blogger outreach pitch for [domain] with the goal of writing a guest post. Include an engaging subject line.
My website is [your domain], and I [describe what you do].
I'm reaching out to [first name] [last name]
Guidelines:
- Brief subject line that stands out
- Use topic-related humor in first sentence
- Focus on what's in it for them
- Offer 3 topic titles
- Keep under 200 words
- Address to [first name]
- No emojis"
Hit “Run” and watch as your sheet fills with custom pitches.
Review them, make quick edits if needed, and send.
The best part? You can reuse this system for any outreach campaign. Just swap in new prospects and let it run.
