Jeff Bezos keeps it simple when deciding who to hire:

1. Can this person do exceptional things?
2. Do I admire them?
3. Will they raise the effectiveness of the team?

If the answer isn’t a strong β€œyes” to all three, don’t hire them.

According to Bezos, you can figure this out in a 30-minute interviewβ€”if you ask the right questions.

The takeaway?

You’re not just hiring to fill a role. You’re hiring to make your team better. Every person you bring on should elevate the group.
