Jeff Bezos keeps it simple when deciding who to hire:
1. Can this person do exceptional things?
2. Do I admire them?
3. Will they raise the effectiveness of the team?
If the answer isnβt a strong βyesβ to all three, donβt hire them.
According to Bezos, you can figure this out in a 30-minute interviewβif you ask the right questions.
The takeaway?
Youβre not just hiring to fill a role. Youβre hiring to make your team better. Every person you bring on should elevate the group.
