And, I'm so happy.
He had been dreaming about quitting for months.
Fine, I get that many employees want to quit.
But what he did was next-level.
We invested a lot into him.
And now he’s gone.
Still, him quitting is one of my company’s biggest accomplishments.
Why?
When he came to us, he was:
- Inexperienced
- Under-confident
- Desperate for a job
At first, we rejected him.
But, I saw he was hungry to grow.
So, we gave him a second chance and hired him.
He dove into every part of the business.
He always asked for feedback, acted on it, and learned quickly.
So, we quickly promoted him.
Then, last year he told me:
“I want to study for my MBA. Can I take time off to prep for the exam?”
We couldn’t afford to lose him.
Still, we gave him paid leave to study.
We didn’t hear from him for weeks.
He came back only to share that he thought bombed the exam.
When the results came out…
99.74 percentile
Incredible!
Then, he went for MBA interviews.
(He still didn’t believe in himself.)
Now we just found out…
He got into the NO. 1 MBA PROGRAM in India - Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad!
All he needed was someone to give him a chance.
That’s why I started my business.
Not just to follow my passion of helping people get the most out of credit card points.
Not just to make money.
But to give underdog Indian college grads a shot at building their careers.
So, join me in congratulating Aman Gourisaria for his hard work and success!
We’re so proud of you.
