We at Multiply Ventures invested in MYDESIGNATION.com, an expressive fashion and lifestyle brand.
The Backstory - We discovered the brand through a friend, which led us to their Instagram page (https://lnkd.in/e3inxf-3). With nearly 250,000 followers on Instagram as of December 2024, they have created fantastic content and engaged their audience at a remarkably high level. This, coupled with their origin in Trivandrum, intrigued us, and we were eager to connect with the founders, Gopika Menon and Swaroop Krishnan. This led me to their office in Trivandrum, where I met the team; it was clear that these were a group of very passionate individuals building something special.
The team's journey of bootstrapping this brand over four years to its current standing was a story of grit, clarity on the opportunity and a very focused execution. They exclusively sell through their own website and three stores in Kerala, each of which is a standout in its own right. The unique product design and quality, coupled with the team's unwavering focus on customer satisfaction, truly set them apart.
Their vision for the "expressive apparel" space, along with the data and insights they had about their consumers, was so compelling that it was easy for us to decide to partner with them.
With a presence in 3 stores and a successful year behind them, MYDESIGNATION.com is on a promising trajectory. I am excited to share some of the impressive stats posted by Swaroop as a capsule of how the year went by.
