Marketers, take note — Google just rolled out AI Mode click, impression & position tracking in Search Console.
👉 If your content appears in an AI-powered result, it now counts as an impression.
👉 A click on your link in AI Mode? Counted.
👉 Position is calculated just like traditional SERPs — each element (carousel, image block, etc.) gets its own rank.
👉 Follow-up questions in AI Mode = brand new queries with fresh tracking.
While we still can't filter AI Mode-specific data, this update brings much-needed visibility into how AI-powered results impact our performance metrics.
