He’s paying employees ₹1,00,000 just to post on LinkedIn.
Not for leads.
Not for closing deals.
Not even for writing about the company.
Just to post, anything. (there are some rules tho)
There's a 3-month competition running at Praper where whoever gets the most impressions wins ₹20,000 cash.
At first, I laughed.
It sounded like one of those weird startup moves with no logic behind it. “How does this even help the company?” I thought.
But the more I sat with it, the more it made sense.
Most founders would never spend on something like this. They’d call it a waste of money and time. They’d say, “Why should I pay people to grow their own personal brand?”
But that’s the short-sighted, old-school way of looking at things.
In reality, it’s genius.
Because when the team starts showing up online:
– the company’s visibility goes up
– people want to work with us
– hiring gets easier
– and our brand becomes 10x stronger, organically
This might look stupid from the outside, but it’s one of the smartest bets a company can make.
And yes, I’m participating too. Catch me posting a lot more than usual for the next 3 months 😅
Shoutout to the team at Praper Media for actually getting it.
Let the Praper LinkedIn League begin.
