Me to GPT: So... if you’re getting this smart, what exactly are humans supposed to do?

GPT: “Meaning-making, philosophy, art, and empathy.”

That sent us spiraling into one of those conversations — utopias, soft apocalypses, simulated realities... the whole thing. Somewhere in all of that, a question’s been sticking with me: Are we reaching for the fast answer, skipping the hard question, nodding along to the algorithm? Not in a dramatic, robot-takeover way. More like... one autofill suggestion at a time.

And add to this the very real and loud warnings about ~50% of entry level jobs fast being taken over by AI. Essentially, a lot of repetitive, high-volume work that was earlier the rite of passage.

So what is the most-valuable skill in our new world order?

Thinking - the ability to pause and ask - Why this? Why this now?

No big takeaway or tip. But just something to 'think' over.
