As I landed in Powai - Snabbit's first micro-market - I couldn’t help but notice the unmistakable presence of women in Snabbit's trademark pink t-shirts everywhere, going about their work. Snabbit has captured the mindshare of an entire neighborhood at astonishing speed - a marker of their strong PMF.
My first stop was their training center, which was buzzing with energy, with Snabbit experts arriving every minute for training. The facility is built like a model home setup - complete with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry area, and living spaces - where experts undergo a 3-day program covering not just technical skills, but soft skills, technology usage, and even financial literacy.
Snabbit is formalizing this sub-segment within home services in India for the first time, with the potential to drive large-scale social impact.
As I visited their new office, I witnessed what blitzscaling truly feels like. The space was already bursting at the seams - I quite literally couldn't find a spot to sit and I am glad! The energy was electric.
What makes Snabbit special? Aayush Agarwal uncovered a unique insight that house help absenteeism is a 2-4x monthly universal pain point. He used that as the wedge and expanded to multiple ad-hoc use cases.
To ensure consistency and quality at scale, Snabbit has gone full-stack - owning everything from sourcing to screening, training and fulfillment.
manish advani just recorded a podcast with Aayush discussing the rollercoaster of a first year, and I have to say that his understanding of consumer behaviour and the nuances of this market is unparalleled.
The speed at which they test, learn and iterate almost real-time based on customer feedback is extraordinary - they pivoted their pricing model (from task-based to time-based) on day 4 of launching Snabbit and their business model (from subscription to on-demand) within the first month. It was lovely to hear Aayush explaining the rationale behind these decisions.
The story behind why he launched in Powai first (from his apartment) is both simple and funny. Only because Aayush lived there and didn't want to waste a month relocating anywhere else. The same bias for speed is driving their expansion nationwide.
Watch this space - we'll be sharing the full conversation where Aayush goes behind the scenes of how he’s steering the biggest disruption in Indian consumer internet this decade.
