Yes, 266. That’s a 20% increase from last year (and way more than I expected).
I don’t know a ton about the B2B buying journey, but I learned a lot about it in HockeyStack’s B2B Customer Journey Touchpoints report (link in comments). Here’s some interesting stats I read about this morning that stuck with me:
1️⃣ The average number of LinkedIn impressions needed for a website visit has jumped 23% from last year – AKA a B2B SaaS company now needs 894 impressions.
2️⃣ The average number of touchpoints needed to generate an MQL increased by 31% from 2023—now it takes 71 touchpoints for a B2B SaaS company to generate an MQL.
3️⃣ In 2024, companies need 2,879 impressions and 266 touchpoints to close a deal—a 10% increase in impressions and a 20% increase in touchpoints from last year.
4️⃣ A $100K+ deal requires 1893 impressions until a website visit and thousands of more touchpoints to win the deal.
This report had some really interesting data and I’d recommend checking it out and seeing where you stack up against the benchmarks (and no email is required).
Thanks to HockeyStack for partnering with Exit Five to bring you more data like this and help you grow in B2B marketing.
