In my interview with Craig Campbelland Charles Floate we talked about Google's focus on EEAT and how it may inadvertently make black hat SEO more effective, not less. Here are some thoughts:
๐ต Google's algorithm has become more linear in its evaluation of authority
๐ต Domain power now trumps content quality in many competitive niches
๐ต Big brands with high authority can rank for almost anything, regardless of relevance
๐ต The focus on "trustworthy sites" has created a massive advantage for parasite SEO
So you should:
๐ข Use parasite SEO on authority sites to bypass typical ranking difficulties
๐ข Build or buy powerful PBNs from topically adjacent niches for massive advantage
๐ข Focus resources on fewer, more powerful domains rather than many weaker ones
๐ข Combine aggressive link building with manufactured "viral" signals to avoid penalties
Google is relying on links and authority for everything from trust, anti-spam, rank, all these kind of things. This linear approach makes the algorithm more predictable and therefore more exploitable.
Are we now in place where everyone's focusing on content quality, but really "who you are" (domain authority) matters more than "what you say" (content quality)?
What do you think?
