The pitch:

Something happened to our social lives.

We didn’t always have to have an agenda to meet people. We used to have more friends outside of work. We didn’t need dating apps to double-up as a networking tool. We used to share all kinds of stories with people around us. In person, face-to-face, back-and-forth, not the kind we post on Instagram.

Today, city life is sedentary. Days are hotter and yet we are deficient in Vitamin D. Lack of activities in the real world is probably the reason why the number of private profiles on social media are now chosing to go public. It’s like we want to be seen and be talked to, even if it’s limited to the confines of screens. Even the more reclusive of introverts now wish for the world to be more social.

For a decade now, gamified algorithms and hustle culture have benefitted corporates and unicorns at the cost of the people’s social health. Even marriages are increasingly falling apart, a casualty of the widely accepted rat race culture. If companies decided to look beyond designing addictive algos and growth-at-all-cost, people would naturally be out and about even more. But who are we kidding? Greed of man paired with irrational optimism will almost always optimise for higher valuations.

It’s now one’s personal responsibility and up to capitalism to assist people in striking a balance between work-life, love-life, spiritual-life, and social-life. Working at high-growth companies is obviously the best way to meet our financial needs. But we think there’s more to life than just doom scrolling and meeting quarterly targets all week.

Introducing, Jamm. A members-only social network that helps you meet all kinds of people over fun activities IRL. Tagline - ‘Never Have Another Boring Week’.

Here’s how it works.

- Apply for membership
- Once accepted, pick an activity (board games, bike rides, etc.) and post a Jamm
- Receive requests from other members who are interested to be a part of your Jamm
- Curate the people you wish to bring together
- Coordinate with the Jammers on group chat
- Meet them IRL and have a good time
- Click pictures and share them at [email protected] (optional)

We think Jamm will improve the social health of its members. The more like-minded the community, the nicer its interactions will be. Hence, memberships on Jamm are free, but limited.

If you vlog/create content, please comment or DM, would love to chat/collab
