Interesting UX observation at Zalando!

Elaboration on the psychological principles of this implementation:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Make it Easier:
Replacing the need to click thumbnails with scrollable image access simplifies interaction. Scrolling is second nature for most users and removes the micro-barriers involved in clicking and loading individual thumbnails. This reduces cognitive and physical effort, keeping the user in a state of flow.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Motivation:
When users feel in control of the browsing experience - like freely scrolling instead of stopping to click - they are more likely to stay engaged. A smoother exploration path can strengthen their motivation to continue toward checkout.
