Indian startups have come to a point (think, Zomato), where every new product feature (small or big) is highly publicised with huge PR. Imagine people writing about the "buy now, pay later" feature for a food delivery company - this is beyond cringe, my knowledge/experience of product management and everything I know.

Makes sense, when you have to maintain a high PE (market cap/PAT) of 250+. Let's not even get into cash flow from operating activities which is in the range of $500k/quarter and investors are betting $30B market cap on it! Hence, an almost infinite CFO/mcap!

I would be more than glad, if Indian tech startups grow to great heights, but not on a foundation which is shaky and sloppy, ultimately adding no real value to the customers and hence not command a high PAT!

Disclaimer - I am not sure, how much of the PR is manufactured and how much of it is natural. Imagine being drunk and still able to call out this cringe!
