In our Google Ads consulting sessions, we frequently encounter confusion about the power and setup of dynamic remarketing.

Participants often claim:

"Our dynamic remarketing is live, just check it out in Google Merchant Center (GMC)."
They typically refer to the image below.

Here you can see only that the dynamic remarketing program is active.

❌ However, this says nothing about whether the program is actually working or not.

You have to check your ID or ecomm_prodid matchrate
When it is lower than 70% there is work to do.

These are the basics you MUST have in place.

Performance max (the go-to capaigntype for most advertisers) is leaning heavily on this signals. Without, you are wasting your budget.

For this reason I have created a how-to guide how to check and fix your setup.
In just 7 steps.

This is the simplest option that will work in most cases. However, in some instances, the dynamic remarketing tag may need to be adjusted.

There is no one-size-fits-all solution for this. If you encounter such a situation, please feel free to contact us for assistance.

We stand up for advertisers and strive to ensure that no marketing euros are wasted, benefiting only Google.

Cheers!
