In 2024, it feels like the biggest joke.
How did we get here?
The market has reached a point where the value of manual outreach is no longer there. I receive more than ten messages per day from people ready to deliver links on HubSpot, Mailchimp, Forbes, and any other reputable site. Our potential clients are getting the same type of messages, so there’s little value in something that is offered so openly and easily, despite the fact that the deliverables may not even be there at all.
Like many other agencies, we’ve reached a crossroads: we either need to start behaving like spammers and persuade clients that we can do our job better, or we stop delivering link building services altogether.
I’ve made the decision to stop providing link building services and take a completely different angle. We’ve found success in strategically aligning content and links, and that’s the direction we aim to pursue.
Linkable content is what makes our clients happy and has tenfold their organic link acquisition. There’s no need to spend days and nights chasing links; they come naturally when the content is right.
