Your feed is clogged with Ivy credentials:
– IIT this, Stanford that
– “Our co‑founder is from XYZ”
– “We need pedigree to get product right”
Bullshit.
Aayush Agarwal is a B.Com guy. No pedigree or “big” résumé.
He learned scaling the hard way, at Zepto as VP & Chief of Staff.
And in 2024, he launched Snabbit, a 15‑minute home‑service app offering cleaning, laundry, and handyman help in Mumbai.
Within 18 months:
– $1M seed, $5.5M Series A, and a $19M Series B led by Lightspeed ➝ ~$80M valuation
– ₹185 Cr annual run‑rate, in 10 micro‑markets
– 600+ trained professionals earning ₹40K/month. (2x average offline wages)
– 70% of GMV comes via Swiggy & Zomato—without spending a rupee on ads
This is what real building looks like.
People don’t say out loud but pedigree doesn’t build ops, degrees don’t clean houses and VCs don’t care what college you went to if your revenue graph’s vertical.
Markets reward people who can fix real pain.
And Aayush did that, while most people are still editing pitch decks and swapping resume lines.
So no, you don’t need an IIT engineer.
You need someone who can get the damn job done.
Hire problem solvers, build for pain nobody else fixes & scale with chaos, not comfort.
Stop overthinking your org chart, hire builders, not backgrounds.
And if you’re still waiting for the “right” profile, just know someone else is out there scaling chaos into ₹100 Cr ARR.
