I think PostHog is better than GA4 when it comes to analytics. Here's why.

- In my findings, they provide much more data than GA4. For example, they track data from browsers like Duckduckgo, which GA4 doesn't.

- I can make custom detailed dashboards. And the best part is that I can also combine metrics that are not related to web analytics.

- I can easily configure conversion events which are called Actions in PostHog. For example, I can track how many people clicked the Submit button on a form on the site. And if you have worked with GA4, you know how difficult it is to do that.

- Even after adding the tracking in the URLs, I can't see all the data because browsers block the GA4 script.

- Not only these, but they also have other tools that I like such as:

1. Session replay
2. A/B testing (which is something that I want to figure out lol)
3. Surveys (I actually ran one. If you want me to share the learnings from it, let me know in the comments)
4. And it also has a dark mode!

Because of all these features, they're ideal for B2B SaaS websites.

And if it counts, I love their copywriting style and even their newsletter. They also have a ton of great resources on their website.

Here's some honest (and real) talk:

I was very skeptical about installing it on my website. Mainly because I tried similar products in the past, and they were not really good. This is actually good, but it has a learning curve. Their target audience is developers. And I am not one of them lol.

Certain things will require help from devs. And even their documentation is very developer-focused. This is good from their side because their target audience is devs. But as an SEO, I had a hard time navigating it for a couple of weeks.

Other than that I really like them and it's miles better than GA4. (It's funny how I use kilometers but I still am writing miles lol. but you get the point, right?)

And no, nobody paid me to write this. I genuinely like their tool.
