Growing up, I was never much of a reader. I just studied what I had to in order to pass the exams at school and college – read summaries, watched movies of books, etc.
I was always a hands-on learner, preferring to learn through my own experiences rather than reading about someone else’s.
And that's exactly what I did with Inagiffy. Long story short. I started Inagiffy as a daily newsletter that communicated news through gifs.
Scaled it to readers in 10+ countries, 15K+ subs, 33% open rates, but I just couldn't see it being financially feasible with a 25 people team.
But that's when I understood newsletters, growth, open rates, etc. and then kept pivoting. It was when I and my co-founder built Inagiffy as an agency.
And it all made sense then.
The question is–do I regret never reading a book? Absolutely not.
“Kyuki jo karne mein maza hain - padhne mein nahi!”
AKA, the knowledge from books is theoretical, it’s after a lot of trial and error that you learn what works and what doesn't.
