It costs $230/€240/₹17,999.
I tried the black variant, though there is a more fabulous-looking silver green one as well.
The smartwatch is a stripped-down version of the five-months-old OnePlus Watch 2, which had a more premium design. The new Watch 2R aims for a more traditional smartwatch aesthetics.
You should totally consider it if:
🟢 need a lightweight yet durable smartwatch — it gets IP68, sapphire glass, aluminum shell
🟢 want Wear OS — currently runs Wear OS 4 and should be updated to 5 following Pixel Watch 3's announcement next month
🟢 value battery life — it gives 3 days of backup with AOD and GPS, which much better than the Galaxy Watch and any other Wear OS watch
Meanwhile, you should skip it if you:
🔴 desire accurate fitness tracking — since it can miscalculate certain metrics
🔴 need eSIM/cellular — this can be a dealbreaker for some folks
🔴 can't miss ECG, Blood Pressure, skin temp (mostly to indicate the onset of menstrual cycle) — features that are available on the Galaxy Watch.
