I just returned from the Ahrefs mini event in Singapore, which had around 120-130 attendees.

Despite the smaller size, the learning and networking experience was incredibly valuable.

Here are some key takeaways:

⭐️ Google's search traffic is still the champ, up 20% in 2024 and 300x ahead of ChatGPT. Guess who's still the king?

⭐️ AI won't replace your content team just yet – it still needs a human touch (or a good prompt engineer).

⭐️ CRO is no longer optional; it's like oxygen for your website.

⭐️ Tweaking internal linking and page structure can boost rankings – it's like finding the secret ingredient in your grandma's recipe. haha!

⭐️ Backlinks from listicles are the new cool kids on the block, making your brand visible on LLMs like ChatGPT.

⭐️ Marketing success = Probability × Number of Attempts.
In other words, try, try, and try again.

⭐️ Job seekers are social media sleuths – employee-generated videos can make your brand shine.

The event ended with a bang (and free drinks), where I mingled with fellow marketing enthusiasts.

Huge thanks to Tim Soulo
, Elysa Victoria Han
, Shermin Lim, and the Ahrefs crew for another epic event!

With this learning, I am also organizing SaaS SEO Alliance in India on 13th September.

Love to meet all in-person.
