I just halved the config of the Hetzner server that I use for superblog-dashboard and other services.

Old:
16GB RAM
8vCPU
$13.6

New:
8GB RAM
4vCPU
$6.8

I just used an overkill server to build & deploy the nextjs app on the same Hetzner server using caprover. Was too lazy to set up github-actions with caprover to split the build phase and deploy phase. Finally, set it up in a scalable way.

If I move, the DB from AWS to Self-hosted (I already have multiple backup strategies in place), my compute cost to run a $6K+/mo SaaS will be $6.8/mo. ~1%. Dream! Beauty is, the same setup will scale for a long long time.
