I have spent more time than I should on Reddit and I find a lot of the content incredibly individual focused as opposed to community focused. That may also be a reflection of American culture which focuses more on the individual.
What's interesting here is how through Reddit this may get codified into LLM advice. AEO/GEO signals are clearly preferring Reddit content since it is very colloquial and human and that's what the machines are trying to emulate.
Language reflects culture. And artificial intelligence based only on language predictors will be biased towards the culture that created that language in the first place.
