I hate admitting this (again), but migrating away from Klaviyo isn’t worth rushing👇

But before I unpack it, I will say this: Yotpo WILL give Klaviyo a run for their money in 2025.

Omnisend? Let's see where they land.

Why?

↳ They offer more than just an email/SMS platform (reviews, subscriptions + loyalty) so you can have it all housed under a single suite. It's debatable whether they are better than standalone tools

↳ Klaviyo has struggled with user adoption for its reviews and CDP products, making it difficult to expand revenue growth. Yotpo has already achieved product adoption across their other products.

↳ Is their email/SMS platform enough to keep them ahead of competitors? For now, yes, who knows how it will shape it in 2025.

Right, onto the post…

Step 1: When you are unhappy about Klaviyo's support.

Get a better understanding of how and why Klaviyo support was lackluster.

Why? There might be an easy way to rectify it without needing to jump ship.

Step 2: If cost has become an issue for you or your client.

Do cost optimization first.
✔️ Are you suppressing inactive profiles?
✔️ Can you downgrade your current plan?
✔️ Are you adding emojis to your text messages?
✔️ Are you sending too many MMS messages?
✔️ Are your text messages too lengthy, eating away at your SMS credits?
✔️ Are you sending email/SMS to countries where you don’t even ship?

PROCEED 🟢🟢🟢

Step 3: Missing features is a problem (rarely the case with Klaviyo).

Find workarounds for the lack of specific features before migrating.

There might be third-party tools or custom-coded solutions to plug the gap.

I used to be extremely pro-migration to different Email Service Providers, but it can be a costly and time-consuming exercise.

Think wisely about your next move.
