HubSpot + OpenAI integration seems like a missed opportunity, or an unfinished job!

I played around with it and I'm really underwhelmed.

With all the data HubSpot has (emails, calls, notes, deal stages, activity timelines), this could’ve been a real GTM strategist, someone who connects dots, sees patterns, flags risks. But they ended up shipping an intern who just reads the reports for you!

Here’s the core issue: this AI is not even trying to be smart:
- It has no memory, no real understanding of what’s going on.
- It’s not indexing HubSpot data, it’s not using vectors or RAG. So, your information is not being contextualized, it's just being read back as it is.
- You don't get insights into trends or deal risk.

To sum up: there's no real “assistant” behavior. It's just another way to pull your data.

But what it should be doing is pulling together your calls, emails, notes, and indexing them, to actually help you understand what’s going on beneath the surface.

I don't think we need another dashboard reader. We need an AI that actually understands our prospects & customers and helps us act faster.
