How to RANK in SEO with less guess work:

1. YOU do something
2. YOU LOOK at the impact on pages by the behaviour of QUERIES

Yet SO VERY few in the SEO industry do it.

A huge amount of the industry is BEST PRACTICE + GUESS WORK + MACHINE GUN APPROACH TO LINKS

And whilst yeah, that DOES work in some cases, it doesn't work in all and it;s HUGELY INEFFECIENT!

I got SO fed up with trying to piece together bits of search console data in the hope that I could draw meaningful conclusions about that
> changed title tag
> the NLP optimisation of content
> improved internal links
> addition of structured data or link building to a URL
etc. etc.

That's why we rebuilt Google Search Console and integrated AI to look at the data.

Annotations on top of warehoused Google Search Console data just works.

Because, IF you have ALL the data you can use AI to look at patterns in data that we as humans just couldn't do at scale.

Let me give you an example of HOW smart the annotations system is:

1. You log an annotation on a URL ie. let's say you revamped a pages content

2. SEO stack gets EVERY bit of data for that URL continuously.

3. We can then, using AI look at a pages query trends and insights, we can look at EVERY QUERY, every click, impression, CTR, position. We can look at how certain queries responded to your changes, the loss of queries, gaining new queries, shifts in average positions, the types of queries that gained/lost etc.

4. Using LLM and data extrapolation we can work out potential impact from annotated changes.

5. AI then looks at overall page query counts.


This is POWERFUL stuff, if you are in SEO you should think about query counting as well as TRENDS in query data.
