How To Dilute Your Brand 101.

Starbucks’ new brand ambassador is… Dolly Chaiwala. 🤯 👏 👏 👏

Yes, the meme guy.

The one who went viral for his
- Random Sunglasses,
- Serving to Bill Gates,
- Those theatrical pour,
- Making it in OHC campaigns

I can’t imagine walking into a Starbucks again with the same sense of global café culture and that quiet luxury they once championed.

WHAT'S WORSE?

They’re calling it
“Connecting with India’s grassroots tea and coffee culture.”

Oh, come on!

DEAR STARBUCKS,
If you truly wanted to celebrate Indian tea and coffee roots, here’s your actual map:

* Cutting chai of aamchi Mumbai
* Kullahad chai of Indore
* Irani chai of Hyderabad
* CTC of Assam
* Bhar-er cha of Kolkata
* Butter tea of Leh
* Masala chai of Varanasi
* Tapri chai from Bangalore
* Super Chaya of Kerala

These aren’t viral stunts.

They’re
GENERATIONAL RITUALS

Dolly Chaiwala might be fun for some.

But grassroots, seriously?

He’s a meme, not a movement.

And certainly not a cultural representative of India’s deep chai or coffee soul.

You wanted REACH.
You forgot REVERENCE.

You wanted VIRALITY.
You compromised on AUTHENTICITY.

Not every trend is worth sipping on.

Whats your take?
