If no one sees it.
It’s like founders who believe product-led growth is all you need.
That a great product will just sell itself.
The truth?
Most products don’t solve massive, urgent problems.
They’re not top of mind.
They need a push.
That’s where marketing comes in.
Same goes for LinkedIn.
You could have amazing posts, thoughtful comments, killer DMs…
But if you’re not actively growing your network every day.
Your content doesn’t stand a chance.
Since day one, I’ve made it a priority to expand mine.
Not quick and dirty.
Not mass-connecting with randoms.
But taking time to:
→ Attach a meaningful note.
→ Following up.
→ Introduce myself.
→ Ask meaningful questions.
Actually getting to know the people I connect with.
And if someone engages with me (via DM or comments) I respond.
Every single time.
Because that’s how you build a real audience.
One that gives a damn.
And if you’re connecting with the wrong people.
People who don’t care what you have to say?
Don’t even bother.
So next time you see advice from a big-name creator, remember:
They’ve been at it for years.
They started when organic reach was booming.
The game has changed.
Today, just like in a red ocean of products.
It’s great marketing that gets great ideas in front of the right people.
