Problem
Much of SEO work is redundant and tedious data work and keyword research, but this is necessary because current tools only get you so far, you still have to do significant manual work to deliver a complete work product.

Solution
We built tools and algorithms to do the work that current tools do not.

Topic Research vs. Keyword Research
* SEO does not target a single keyword, rather it targets a topic, which is comprised of hundreds of keywords for a given landing page
* It's impossible to manually group hundreds of keywords for each page on a site, so you either pick a single keyword (ignoring most of the keyword cluster), or manually group 5-10 keywords (still missing hundreds of keywords)
* It's hard to know which keywords to group, this is largely an educated guess
* Solution: our topic explorer automatically scans a database of 1B+ keywords and search results to group keywords based not on NLP (like current tools), but by finding which keywords have the same set of search results in Google

Topical Authority vs. Domain Authority & Keyword Difficulty
* It's common for 5% of topics to drive 95% of the impact - this is hugely inefficient and a key reason why many SEO efforts fail
* Websites have unique topical authority, keywords are not difficult or easy, but rather a domain is topically authoritative for a particular topic
* Solution: We built a topical authority algorithm to measure how related a topic is to your domain
* We showed that this score is predictive of faster ranking and more traffic
* This is the solution to find the 5% of topics that drive impact

Content Scoring for Topics vs. Keywords
* There are many content-scoring tools, but they all score a page based on 1 keyword
* Topics target hundreds of keywords, not 1; in order to properly score your content, you would need to run hundreds of content reports
* Solution: We built a writing assistant that scores your content for the entire keyword cluster, not just 1; this is equivalent to running hundreds of content scores for every page
* Impact: This is a huge competitive advantage vs. competing companies with visibility into content score for just 1 keyword

Reporting - Is This Working?
* Solution: we prebuilt the most common SEO dashboards for things like non-brand vs. brand traffic, traffic by segment, and cohorts by publication date

Reporting - Why Is Traffic Down/Up?
* Solution: we regularly monitor topics to find which ones increased/decreased, score these URLs, and identify which have the highest potential traffic gain
