At The Whole Truth, we’re re-building the world’s trust in its food. A trust broken by big-food selling half-truths for ages.
Hence, while hiring my initial team, I was clear I wasn’t going to hire ‘experts’. How could I hire ’20 year veterans of the industry’ and expect them to solve a problem they themselves created?
No. We needed first principles thinkers who could re-imagine modern food from the ground up. *Intent > Skill* became our hiring mantra. And the EiR program was born.
And boy did it pay off!
That first batch of EiRs is the top team that has built and continues to run this company. You can meet all of them here: https://lnkd.in/dYFc5b6s
Today each of these EiRs is a Shashank from five years ago. Running a function. Leading an independent P&L. Creating the next big thing that will propel TWT into higher orbit. And so today, each of them is looking for their own EiR.
Hence, we’re back!
We’re looking to hire 3-5 EiRs who will be put through multi-functional leadership training program. You will go through the full org, do real projects, drive impact, learn and then get an independent charter to lead. Open a new market, launch a new product line, build a completely new capability, and do it all yourself. Entrepreneur style. You get the drift.
Who should apply?
We’re looking for generalists with high intellect and even higher intent. Folks who think wide and can go deep. Ideal fit is an MBA plus 3-5 years of work experience (we don’t think this is a good fit for first-jobbers and MBA is a loose surrogate for ‘generalist’). But hey, if you don’t fit this description and yet believe you’re absolutely right for this (and this for you), write in.
How can you apply?
All I need is a letter (1000 words) that explains why you’d make the perfect EiR. That, plus your CV (I don't look at CVs but they help us index applications). Send both these in an email titled “I would make the perfect EiR. Here's why. ” to [email protected].
We're accepting applications till 10th May.
That's it. Let's do this!
PS: How can you 'Hire' entrepreneurs? Good question. The answer is in this OG blog post that I wrote to hire my OG bunch (link in comments). Remains as relevant today as it was five years ago. And why shouldn't it be? We're barely 5% done on this 100+ year journey of bringing truth back to food. It's still very much Day 0.
