Ever tried telling your manager/client:
“SEO takes time. Let’s wait for 12 months and see.”
Yeah… didn’t go well, did it?

Here’s the truth:
Yes, SEO does take time to show full results,
But the work? That doesn’t need 12 months.
With the right focus, you can lay the groundwork in 6 months!

Here’s one of the basic strategies for delivering results that I swear by:

🧠 Month 1-2:

1. Understand the industry landscape, and get deep into the client’s pain points.
2. Conduct a detailed competitor analysis to find out what’s working for others, and where you can do it better or smarter.
3. Identify the keyword gap and the long tail keyword opportunities that you want to target.
4. Run a full backlink gap analysis. Focus on building quality links. Quality over quantity always wins!
5. Carry out a comprehensive technical SEO audit. Identify issues that are genuinely holding the site back.
6. Start focusing on creating wireframes and designs for the key SEO page types.
7. Create a basic but realistic execution timeline that focuses on high-impact actions.

⚙️ Month 3-4:

1. Begin fixing the technical issues you uncovered earlier and they will deliver quick wins when resolved early.
2. Start developing and deploying SEO page types across the website. Prioritize mobile responsiveness and page speed while you're at it.
3. Build at least five solid backlinks for each of the newly developed pages.
4. Start creating content briefs, not just AI dumps but carefully crafted outlines with human insight, structure, and voice.

🚀 Month 5-6:

1. Publish around six high-quality articles every month. Use strong internal linking logic, smart header structures, and relevant images. Each piece should be properly interlinked with both landing pages and related articles.
2. Actively build or earn links to these content pieces as well. Distribute them, promote them, and make them worthy of backlinks.
3. Reinforce your internal linking strategy across the site, nothing should live in isolation. Content should support conversions, navigation, and crawlability.

By the end of the Month 6, you’ll see it:

📈 Impressions steadily rising as your pages start getting discovered.
📈 Clicks flowing in from users who are actually searching for what you offer.
📈 Rankings climbing as your authority and relevance build up.
📈 Confidence growing, both yours and your client’s because things are finally moving.
📈 A roadmap you can repeat, refine and scale.

Still think SEO is slow? It doesn’t have to be.
You just need to stop doing “everything” and start doing what actually works.

Let’s sprint smarter, not slower. 🏃‍♀️💨
