It is Commercial Air Travel.
Per mile traveled, it's safer than cars, bikes, trains—even walking.
In fact, you could fly every day for a few thousand years before being in a fatal accident.
But yesterday, all those numbers meant nothing.
This is the paradox we live in.
Death can come for us at any point.
It does not care about odds.
It only needs one chance.
Most people think - Death is a failure of the system.
It is not. It is a part of the system.
So accept it and have this realization every day.
“Memento mori”—remember that you must die.
Not to scare, but to focus.
To remind you what matters.
The question then becomes—
Not how do we avoid death, but how do we face life.
We live in accordance with nature.
With virtue. With courage.
We help and love those around us.
We do not cling to control, but master ourselves, our thoughts, our responses, our character.
And when death comes, be it in the sky or in our sleep,
we greet it not with fear,
but with readiness.
