There’s two ways Meta decides if you’re a health/wellness restricted brand.
1. Website Scraping
When you run ads to your site, Meta looks at your ad URL and scans the page content for health-related terms.
2. Pixel Events
Your browser pixel and/or server-side CAPI connection sends data that includes page URLs and product names. If either the URL or product name mentions restricted language, Meta flags you.
I’ve been helping businesses assess and make modifications to both their site and their pixel to remove the restricted categorization.
