Deviation was never meant to fit the mould.

From Day 1, we were building for the future of search.

I still remember sitting with Sam Broadhead
at a friend’s wedding, chatting away being egged on by a certain James Hayward-Browne
, drinks in hand, when we said:

"Yeah, let’s go for it… but let’s do something nobody else is."

For the next six months, we met every Sunday evening. We spoke every day. Actually, I think we’ve spoken every day since that wedding.

From the very beginning, we didn’t want to be just another SEO agency.

We wanted to be the ones who deviated, to become a driving force, not a follower.

And that vision became Search Everywhere™ and gave the business its name.

❌ We didn’t want to do keyword research like everyone else
❌ We didn’t want to use the same tools as every other SEO agency

✅ We wanted to focus on Revenue/Conversions being our main KPI
✅ We wanted to be the bridge between Social/Search/Brand

Hell, we didn’t even want to be an SEO agency (In the traditional sense)

When we first shared the proposition, people laughed. We heard the giggles.

The idea that search was evolving beyond traditional boundaries, into social platforms, AI interfaces, and creator ecosystems, felt far-fetched to many.

SEOs dragged out the dictionary as to why TikTok was not a search engine

Blah Blah Blah

I even stood on stage at BrightonSEO and talked about something I called "Search Integrated Influencer". Some people challenged it. Others just couldn’t see it.

Turns out… the gut was right.

Turns out... the only way to force meaningful change WAS deviation from the path!

Now? The future of search isn’t coming. It’s already here. And seemingly everyone is onboard with ALOT of the ideas we were laughed out of rooms for suggesting or believing not even 2 years ago.

So... we’re building it, every fucking day, and we're ALL GAS, NO BRAKES

That's Deviation | The Search Everywhere™ Agency
