🎬 Darren Aronofsky just produced his first AI film.
Today, I’m thrilled to share the full short film: ANCESTRA.

👩‍🎨 Directed by the visionary Eliza McNitt, ANCESTRA is a personal story of birth, memory, and transformation, reimagined through the lens of generative AI.

This film is the result of a unique collaboration between Google DeepMind, Primordial Soup (Aronofsky’s new studio), and Google Creative Lab.

🖼️ It blends live-action performance with AI-generated sequences using our next-gen models: Veo, Gemini, and Imagen.

💡What makes this film special:
- Based on Eliza’s own near-death birth experience
- Shot in live action, then extended and reimagined with generative tools
- A poetic fusion of reality and imagination, powered by new technology, guided by deeply human emotion

This is what happens when filmmakers lead the way, using AI to expand cinema, not replace it.

Storytelling is liquid 💧
