This is my favorite approach.
- Get keywords from GSC
- Filter/Export keywords related to an article
- Start the clustering process
- Select the best keyword clusters
- Analyse their content
- Create detailed briefs
- Write one article per cluster
- Publish them
- Use the initial article as the pillar page
- Start ranking
