Consulting is officially the worst career choice in 2025.

I was looking into something super specific in the Private Equity Credit Industry. This "consultant" quoted me $1,000/hr. I ran deep research on it, and I know everything I need to know in about 18 minutes for FREE.

No one is going to pay consultants to push process maps, buzzword bingo and recycled best practices when AI plugs into your data, runs scenarios and generates real strategy in milliseconds. Consultants invoice for slide decks and coffee meetings, still deliver the same vague takeaways.

In the next 3-5 years, its going to be completely different. There is no hard skills anyone starting in consulting learns imo.
