BREAKING: UK AI startup Convergence acquired by Salesforce just 12 months after launching!

Convergence is an AI agent company founded by Marvin Purtorab
and Andy Toulis
.

The two met while working at Shopify on recommender systems and AI assistants before leaving to set up Convergence.

Convergence is an AI agent company that's developed advanced systems that perform complex, human-like tasks in digital environments.

Its technology enables AI agents to navigate dynamic interfaces, managing everything from web-based workflows to multi-step processes by adapting in real time to challenges like pop-ups, errors, and UI updates.

It was only formed 12 months ago, and 3 months later raised a $12 million pre-seed round led by Balderton Capital, with participation from Salesforce Ventures and Shopify Ventures.

It's now announced that it's being acquired by Salesforce and those seed investors are looking at a 300% IRR! 🤯

At the time James Wise, partner at Balderton Capital, said:

“Few people have the experience and skill that Marvin and Andy have, which makes them well-placed to take on the complex technical challenge of a product like Proxy.”

Following the acquisition, Convergence’s team and technology are expected to play a central role in advancing Agentforce, a key pillar of Salesforce’s AI strategy.

Yesterday, Harry Stebbings posted about Fyxer AI and its insane growth ($0 to $9M in 8 months) and stated: "you can build mega AI companies from Europe".

Today, a UK-based AI company is getting acquired 12 months after launching for (what I assume) is a 9-figure sum.

There's never been a better time to build a company. And there's never been a better time to build in Europe.

LETS GO 🇬🇧 🇪🇺
