From a comms and customer confidence standpoint, this seems like something you would rather have had happen on Thursday before Bench announced its shutdown to the world, but 🤷.
Who is Employer? According to a press release from Nov 22, 2024, "Recruiter Ventures, a leader in talent acquisition and workforce management solutions, today announced its strategic consolidation of its existing portfolio of brands and technologies under the Employer brand."
Will Recruiter Ventures continue to run the existing Bench machine with the existing Bench team? Will they still make a data export available to companies that have been spooked by all of this? We'll have to see.
For folks interested in leaving Bench, the offer we were going to roll out this morning (when it seemed like folks would be left stranded) was:
1. Your books migrated to QuickBooks Online. Free.
2. Your 2024 bookkeeping completed properly. Also free.
3. Bookkeeping services until June 2025 or longer if you've prepaid for a Bench contract. Still free.
