In the wake of India's bold stand through Operation Sindoor, what did Bollywood do?
Instead of standing in solidarity, expressing outrage, or at least offering condolences to the martyred—production houses rushed to register film titles around “Operation Sindoor” like vultures circling opportunity.
No condemnation. No emotion. No spine. Just business.
Where are the voices of those who’ve played our soldiers on screen?
Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh, Sunny Deol…
Men who delivered fiery monologues about patriotism, sacrifice, and dying for the nation—
Now silent. Deafeningly silent.
Not a tweet. Not a word. Not a tear.
Is Bollywood only a business now?
Is patriotism just a costume and dialogue for box office collections?
Because when the real nation bleeds, the reel heroes vanish.
And here's the irony:
Pakistani actors—less celebrated, less powerful—are openly backing their army, even when they're clearly on the wrong side of justice and humanity.
Why? Because they believe in their side.
They may be wrong, but they’re loyal.
What are our stars loyal to? Just scripts and screenplays?
This isn’t just about patriotism.
This is about the responsibility of influence.
When millions follow you, you don’t get to be neutral.
You don’t get to cash in on pain and walk away when your country actually needs your voice.
Bollywood, you’ve given us dreams.
But today, you've given us disillusionment.
Business can’t be blind to humanity.
Cinema can’t be silent when the nation screams.
Fame must stand for something—or it stands for nothing.
Think again, India.
